Typically, they feature an integral 18mm moisture-resistant MDF sub-frame bonded to the underside, and a folded safety edge, ensuring exceptional strength and rigidity. This design makes installation straightforward and hassle-free.
Key features include:
- Durable – Custom-made stainless-steel worktops can be engineered with precise thickness and reinforcement where needed, ensuring durability and resistance to heavy use for a longer lifespan.
- Hygienic – Stainless Steel is a hygienic metal with a non-porous surface that prevents the trapping of food or bacteria. Its smooth surface allows for easy cleaning and maintenance, ensuring it does not absorb harmful bacteria or viruses.
- Easy to maintain – To keep your stainless steel worktops in excellent condition, clean them after each use. Most marks can be removed with a damp cloth, but tougher grime may require baking soda and water. Fingerprints can be wiped away with standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
- Heat Resistant – Stainless steel is also resistant to heat from pans placed directly from the hob or oven. Our 316-grade metal worktops, specifically designed for laboratories, provide exceptional resistance to both acid and heat.
- Sustainable – Stainless steel is a robust metal that can be endlessly recycled, making it a sustainable choice. Interestingly, more than half of the stainless steel in use today is made from previously recycled steel.
- Cost efficient – Although the upfront costs may be higher, opting for bespoke stainless steel worktops proves a prudent financial decision in the long run, due to minimised maintenance, reduced replacement costs, and enhanced operational efficiency.
Innova’s worktops can include surface-mounted sinks, built-in upstands, hob cut-outs, and slot joints. Protect stainless steel by avoiding chlorides like bleach and acids. Clean spills with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse and dry to preserve the appearance.
