The brief
Innova Design Group was tasked by BAM Construction to provide high-quality school furniture under tight deadlines, ensuring that Great Western Academy in Swindon was fully fitted and ready to welcome students for the new term.
Leveraging its state-of-the-art in-house manufacturing facility, Innova successfully completed the furniture and fit-out for 50 rooms. These included laboratories, food technology rooms, art studios, music rooms, ICT suites and more.
By combining expert craftsmanship with efficient project management, Innova delivered exceptional results, meeting the highest standards of quality within a remarkably short timeframe.

The solution
Innova played a pivotal role in the success of the Great Western Academy project, stepping in at short notice to ensure the furniture and fit was completed in record time. From interpreting the design specifications to precisely matching board and edging colors and sourcing raw materials quickly, Innova demonstrated exceptional agility and expertise. With a focus on accuracy and efficiency, the team manufactured and delivered high-quality furniture just in time, enabling BAM Construction to maintain its finishing schedule and meet the project’s critical handover date.
The school is set to celebrate its official opening in October with a ceremony attended by local MPs, dignitaries, and special guest Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, British space scientist and co-presenter of The Sky at Night. Aderin-Pocock will deliver the first of a series of annual inspirational talks planned to motivate and engage students.
