Brine Leas School in Nantwich, is an outstanding teaching school dating back to the 1950’s. In 2010 the school was one of the first groups of establishments to become an academy with the aim of all students receiving a successful education across the curriculum.
As part of their ongoing investment and development efforts, Brine Leas aimed to expand their Food Technology facility to accommodate more students, increase the number of practical sessions, and address the rising demand from Level 3 A-Level students enrolling on the course
After securing funding from ‘The Savoy Educational Trust’ and ‘The Brine Leas Trust’ the refurbishment became a reality.

The brief
With the growing demand for Food Technology at the school, Innova faced the challenge of creating a space to accommodate increased number of students and practical sessions while ensuring teaching flexibility and clear visibility for effective room management.
The new space needed to inspire creativity and enthusiasm in both students and educators. It required a thoughtfully designed and well-equipped interior that aligns with 21st-century industry standards.
The layout is better for circulation and as a result, engagement. Students appear to be more focused and the number of practical lessons have doubled
