Oasis Community Learning was established as a Multi-Academy Trust in 2004 with the vision to create “Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community”.
The trust now runs academies in five main regions throughout the UK, providing either Primary, Secondary or All-through education to over 32,000 young people – 47% of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds and 31% speak English as an additional language.
As part of its transition to Oasis Academy Lister Park, Challenge College planned to revitalise its ICT suites, transforming them into modern, inspiring learning spaces that align with the academy’s new branding and vision.

The brief
The project involved a complete refurbishment of two ICT suites, transforming them into dynamic, visually striking learning environments designed to inspire both students and staff. The goal was to create interiors with a true “WOW” factor, blending modern aesthetics with practical functionality to enhance the overall educational experience.
A full turnkey solution was required, which included the installation of bespoke furniture tailored to the academy’s needs, vibrant decoration to reflect the school’s branding, and durable flooring designed for high foot traffic.
Additionally, the project involved upgrading data and electrical systems to support cutting-edge technology, ensuring the suites are equipped to handle the demands of a modern digital curriculum.

The solution
With the growing demand for classroom layouts that provide students with ample space and allow teachers to easily manage the learning environment, Innova Design Group set out to transform the ICT suites.
The introduction of saw-tooth benching along the perimeter maximised the available space, creating a more flexible and efficient layout.
Each room featured a teacher wall with accent edging, designed to offer substantial storage and include both interactive and sliding write-on whiteboards for versatile teaching.
Brightly coloured service unit panels, complete with ventilation grills, were incorporated to improve cable management.
To complete the transformation, pendant lighting and a striking “pixel” feature wall, created using laminate and vinyl, were added, providing a bold and inspiring finishing touch to the redesigned ICT suites.
As part of its re-launch to Oasis Academy Lister Park, Challenge College has completely transformed its ICT suites.
