The brief
As part of their ongoing facility enhancements, Innova was tasked with transforming an existing textile room into a flexible food technology space, designed to support both practical cooking activities and theoretical lessons. The redesign had to incorporate discrete workstations, modern kitchen facilities, and dedicated areas for classroom-based learning, ensuring the space could adapt to various teaching needs and provide an optimal environment for students.
The Innova representatives were highly knowledgeable and offered valuable guidance on key areas, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.

The solution
For the food technology space, Innova designed a bay layout to ensure that students had easy access to all the necessary equipment for practical work. This design also improved classroom management by allowing for better circulation and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Innova delivered a comprehensive fit-out service, overseeing the installation of all essential utilities, including gas, electricity, and water. To prioritise safety, all utility connections were cleverly concealed. The space was completed with the addition of a suspended ceiling, new flooring, stylish décor, and energy-efficient lighting, resulting in a modern and practical learning environment.
The incorporation of durable Trespa surfaces, paired with aluminum accents on the furniture and stainless-steel appliances, transformed the space into a sleek, professional kitchen environment, revitalising what was previously a dull and uninspiring area.

Hair Salon
A standard classroom was transformed into an innovative teaching hair salon, featuring styling and cutting stations, back washes, a reception area, and a storage room. Innova delivered a complete turnkey solution, which included the installation of flooring, decoration, ceiling, lighting, and custom-designed furniture, creating a fully functional and inspiring learning space.
