Brine Leas – Food Technology

Brine Leas School in Nantwich, is an outstanding teaching school dating back to the 1950’s. In 2010 the school was one of the first groups of establishments to become an academy with the aim of all students receiving a successful education across the curriculum.

After securing funding through a recommendation from Innova ‘The Brine Leas Trust’ refurbishment became a reality.

The state-of-the-art new food technology rooms have been designed with a peninsular layout and workstations, with clear sight lines, good circulation and a range of storage options.

Corelli – Science Laboratories

After securing a CIF bid with the support of Bailey Garner LLP, the college was looking to reinvent their old science laboratories, from outdated, poorly laid out classrooms into modern state-of-the-art learning environments.

With careful planning and consultation, Innova delivered five brand new laboratories, complete with working PODs, teacher walls, plenty of storage areas and up-to-date fume cupboards providing the teaching staff with the flexibility and freedom to adapt to a broad range of teaching styles from collaborative group work to individual studies, enhancing learning and productivity.

Worthing High School – Science Laboratories

Worthing High has an ongoing commitment to ensure students maintain a focus and interest in STEM related subjects. The academy secured £2.38million of EFA funding for a new Science/STEM block. With the support of Philip Surveyors LLP as well as the staff and students, the plan was to rebuild the school’s science facilities fit for the 21st century.

The new state-of-the-art labs enhance the quality of teaching and the students’ learning and will benefit young people for years to come.

Cronton Sixth Form – STEM Centre

A pioneering development opened at Cronton Sixth Form College in Widnes.  As part of a £9 million investment at the site and the first of its kind in the UK -The Idea Centre is a state-of-the–art building, fitted with the most advanced industry equipment. It was designed to enable young people to collaborate on projects, in order to develop a multi-skilled workforce to meet the needs of employers.

With adaptable, flexible work spaces throughout the new build, providing opportunity for the teaching staff to revamp the curriculum and train students with extremely marketable skills to progress within industry, the groundbreaking IDEA Centre will continue to inspire future generations of students for years to come.

Mendip Studio School – STEM Facilities

Mendip Studio School in Writhlington, Radstock, specialises in Bioscience, Electronic Engineering, Computing and Maths and offers a range of academic and vocational qualifications including GCSEs, BTec, EPQ and A Levels education to 300 students between the ages of 14-19.

Working in partnership with Kier Construction and Steer Design, Innova delivered a furniture only installation to four laboratories, two engineering rooms and an ICT suite.

The construction of a new purpose built specialist facility for STEM subjects, costing £4.5 million started in 2016 and was completed early 2017.
